An exhibition documenting eighty years of joint Arab action

Cairo, November 14 / WAM / The museum exhibition “Biography and Journey”, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of its founding, witnessed the visit of a number of Arab and foreign delegations this week.

The delegations reviewed materials documenting the process of joint Arab action since 1945, and the League’s role in supporting liberation issues and enhancing political, economic, social and cultural cooperation among member states.

The exhibition was visited by a delegation of Arab diplomats specialized in culture and media affairs, along with Dr. Yasmine Moussa, Legal Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Abdullah bin Suhail Al-Muhaidli, Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, where visitors learned about the most prominent historical milestones presented within the exhibition’s activities.

“Biography and Journey” displays a collection of documents, photos and archival records that provide a clear vision of the development of joint Arab action over the past decades, and the role played by the Arab League in various political and development files.

The exhibition also aims to introduce visitors to the history of the Arab League in a simple and direct way, and to provide an opportunity to view archival materials that reflect the journey of the first Arab institution since its founding eight decades ago.
