Commentary on the result of the Al Dhafra and Al Wasl match in the Basketball League

“Emirates Today” learned about the Basketball Association’s intention to suspend the result of the match between Al Dhafra and its guest Al Wasl, which took place yesterday, to calculate the final round of the first leg of the preliminary round of the General League Championship, after it was stopped three minutes and 11 seconds ago, and the result indicates that Al Dhafra leads with a score of (69-55).
A source told “Emirates Today” who refused to reveal his name that: “The arbitration team and the match observer submitted their report to the technical committee of the federation, to take legal measures, following the refusal of Al Dhafra’s Syrian coach, Ali Al Shatti, to complete the match despite his advance in the result.”
The source pointed out that the refereeing team gave a technical foul to the Al Dhafra coach for his objection to the refereeing decisions, before the coach withdrew his team from the field, and upon returning to complete the match, the coach was given a second technical foul, which required, according to the laws, his expulsion from the field, so he decided again to withdraw his team, which forced the refereeing team, consisting of Hamza Abbas, Omar Al-Asmar, Khafr Al-Din Moati, and match observer Mahmoud Rashad, to close the score and suspend the result three days before the final whistle. Minutes and 11 seconds, and submitting a report to the technical committee.
