Riyadh hosts the Global Industry Summit with the participation of 173 countries


Riyadh is hosting the twenty-first session of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), under the name: "Global Industry Summit"which is held by the organization in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the Kingdom, with the participation of 173 member states of the organization.

The conference will continue for five days at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh, during the period 23 – 27 of this November, with the participation of world industry leaders, leading industrial companies, investors, and innovators, under the slogan: "The power of investment and partnerships to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals"

Ministerial Conference

The start of the work of the General Conference is preceded by a meeting "Eleventh Ministerial Conference of Least Developed Countries" (LDCMC11) on the twenty-second of this November, which discusses investment, innovation and industrial development in the least developed countries in the world.

This meeting constitutes a crucial platform for transforming dialogue into industrial policies, practical alliances, and concrete deals that drive industrial progress in emerging economies in particular.

The twenty-first UNIDO General Conference also constitutes a pivotal platform that brings together leaders, decision-makers, investors, and experts to work together to transform visions and strategies into executive steps that enhance comprehensive industrial development. The conference agenda includes plenary sessions, ministerial meetings, specialized dialogues and interactive exhibitions, all of which focus on stimulating investment, expanding the use of modern technologies, and building international partnerships that contribute to accelerating the pace of sustainable manufacturing and enhancing the flexibility of supply chains globally. In their chronological order that directly links the "Eleventh Ministerial Conference of the Least Developed Countries" (LDCMC11), and the opening of the twenty-first General Conference of UNIDO.
