Brazilian Michelle Olvieira wins title "Emirates warriors" In its international version

Al Ain, November 16 / WAM / Brazilian Michelle Olviera was crowned the main fighter in the 65th international edition of the “Emirates Warriors” mixed martial arts championship series, after defeating her compatriot Lani Silva, by referee’s decision, in the strawweight division during the competitions that were held yesterday at the Al Ain National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
The championship competitions were attended and the winners were crowned by Sheikh Issa bin Saeed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Mohammed bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri, Member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and Chairman of the Federation’s Mixed Martial Arts Committee, and Fouad Darwish, CEO of Palms Sports Company and Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
In the rest of the fights, the Brazilian Bruno Machado defeated the Australian Brenten Mamfod, by submission in the first round, in the free weight, while the Azerbaijani Abdulrahman Alimgo Medov was declared the winner over the Russian Anurbek Daniilkov due to an illegal strike in the free weight.
The Arab duo, the Kuwaiti Abdullah Boushahri, the most participating in the tournament, won over the Uzbek Delatbek Khojiev, by unanimous decision of the judges, in the 73 km free weight, and the Egyptian Ahmed Fares defeated the Italian Walter Cogliandro by submission in the featherweight.
The tournament witnessed the holding of 14 fights with the participation of 28 male and female fighters from various countries of the world, amid a large audience.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri confirmed that the remarkable success achieved by the Emirates Warriors Championship falls within the series of successes achieved by Abu Dhabi in hosting the most prominent international and global martial arts championships, which has established its position as the capital of this type of sport.
He explained that the distinguished organization and high technical level of the fights reflect the strategic vision of the wise leadership in supporting the sports sector and providing a global environment for competitions.
In turn, Fouad Darwish praised the qualitative success achieved by the UAE Warriors Championship in the Al Ain region, stressing that Abu Dhabi has once again proven its ability to host the most important international fights with an organizational quality that exceeds expectations.
Champion Michelle Oliveira expressed her happiness at achieving the championship title, noting that she fought a strong fight against her opponent, but she succeeded in achieving her dream of winning in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
