Dubai, February 27 / WAM / The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has begun its social and humanitarian initiatives to make workers happy during the holy month of Ramadan, by distributing Ramadan food and iftar meals in various regions of the country, in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Beit Al Khair Society, the Food Bank and Al Ansari Exchange, under the slogan “Ramadan brings us together with our workers”.

His Excellency Dalal Al Shehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Labor Protection Sector, said that the humanitarian and social initiatives targeting the workforce in the UAE, which the Ministry implements annually during the holy month of Ramadan, represent an extension of an integrated system concerned with protecting work and enhancing its stability, and reflect a solid approach that embodies the values ​​of compassion, giving, and solidarity on which the UAE society is based.

It stressed the Ministry’s keenness to make workers happy and participate in various national and community events to enhance their community affiliation and emphasize their pivotal role in the country’s development process, praising the partners supporting the Ramadan campaign who, through their contributions, embody an effective model of social responsibility and integration between the public and private sectors and volunteer initiatives.

The “Ramadan brings us together with our workers” campaign includes setting up three Ramadan tents to break the fast in a number of regions of the country, in coordination and cooperation between the Ministry, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority and the Beit Al Khair Society, with the aim of providing an environment that brings workers together at one table in a faith-based atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the holy month and its noble values.

This initiative contributes to establishing feelings of familiarity and social cohesion, and enhancing the workers’ sense of belonging to society, which reflects the state’s interest in caring for them and its keenness to include them in the Ramadan atmosphere in which everyone comes together on the values ​​of goodness, solidarity and compassion.

The Ministry is cooperating with the Al Ataa and Al Ansari Exchange family and Happy UAE to distribute Iftar meals to workers at their work sites and residences, which confirms the model of effective community partnership, and translates the values ​​of social responsibility into humanitarian initiatives that reach workers where they are, and enhances their sense of appreciation and belonging in the Ramadan atmosphere.

The campaign continues throughout the holy month of Ramadan, as the distribution of Iftar meals continues on a daily basis in a number of areas, in parallel with the distribution of thousands of parcels of Ramadan Meer to workers, which is one of the well-established initiatives in Emirati society during the holy month, which enhances workers’ feelings of reassurance and care, and embodies the values ​​of solidarity and compassion that characterize Emirati society.
