Urgent..President Sisi inaugurates giant marine stations in the Suez Canal Economic Zone

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the opening of a number of marine stations in the Suez Canal Economic Zone in the East Port of Port Said.

 

 

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the celebration program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the showing of a documentary film entitled “10 Years of Achievements,” followed by a speech. In the same context, he delivered  Olivier de Noray, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Suez Canal Automobile Trading Company “SCAT” And CEO of AGL Ports, a speech in which he expressed his appreciation for the vision  The President and his determination to implement the Suez Canal Economic Zone project, which made the economic zone a strategic gateway to Africa and the surrounding regions. He confirmed that “SCAT” company Its projects in Egypt will be a platform for producing cars and exporting them to the world, and this was followed by the opening of a car trading station via video conference technology. He also threw  Tarek Fathi, Chairman of the Egyptian Sky Ports Group of Companies, gave a speech in which he stressed that the projects undertaken by the group in Egypt will contribute to transforming Egypt into a global logistics center. After the speech ended, the multi-purpose station was opened via video conference. From  Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, hereby stressed that the current year is exceptional in the Authority’s journey, explaining that East Port Said Port is classified as the first container port in Africa and the third in the world, praising the vision of  The President decided to establish the Suez Canal Economic Zone despite the challenges, and thanked the state agencies for their efforts in developing and securing the relevant facilities that linked the east of the canal to its west, which contributes to attracting more investments. He also reviewed the Authority’s strategy for attracting investments, noting that from 2016 to 2025, more than 136,000 direct job opportunities were created, attracting investments totaling $11.6 billion, with a focus on localizing the industry, including in the field of green hydrogen production, in accordance with Egypt’s national strategy for low-carbon hydrogen. At the end of his speech, Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din presented a souvenir to the President in the form of a model of a Pharaonic ship.

 

 

 

After that, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, delivered a speech in which he reviewed the state’s strategy for developing ports, stressing that Egypt has become a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade, noting that within the framework of implementing the strategy, 14 ports were developed and 5 new ports were established as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at making Egypt one of the most important centers in the world. His Excellency stressed the need to strive for Egypt to take its natural position among countries, especially in the field of transport and logistics. His Excellency thanked Maersk for fulfilling its obligations, indicating Egypt’s aspiration for the company and other investors working in Egypt to increase their investments, stressing that the state will provide everything to achieve this. Relevant facilities, and calling for achieving achievements and completing projects at faster rates, stressing that Egypt is witnessing today the fruits of achievement in the ports, railways, roads, axes and energy sectors. His Excellency also appreciated the support of the Egyptian people and their resilience in facing challenges, calling for continued efforts and sacrifices to achieve more achievements for the benefit of current and future generations.
