Festival activities start "Ras Al Khaimah Night Market"

Ras Al Khaimah, November 17, 2017 – His Excellency Mohammed Musabah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, opened the activities of the first session of the “Ras Al Khaimah Night Market” festival, which is organized by the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center “Expo”, in cooperation with the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development.

The market, which includes about a hundred shops, is held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays every week, starting at 4:30 in the afternoon until 10:30 at night, and is located in the outer courtyard of the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center.

The opening was attended by Arfa Saleh Al Falahi, member of the Board of Directors of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Yasser Al Ahmad, Head of the Government and Institutional Communication Sector at the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ), Dr. Ahmed Al Shamili, Acting Director General of the Chamber, officials of the Chamber, the Expo Center, the Saud Foundation, and a large gathering of the public.

During his tour of the market, the Chamber President confirmed that the event is not just a marketing event that provides only a shopping experience, but also an integrated entertainment experience that includes all types of shops, family activities and restaurants, in addition to a huge diversity of options whether the shopper is looking for brands or traditional markets.

He added that the market is an important platform that brings together about a hundred stores and provides the best experience for shoppers, due to the huge discounts it offers and options that suit all tastes and budgets, in addition to entertainment offers, prizes and competitions.

His Excellency pointed out the keenness of both the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center and the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development to provide various means of support to the participating store owners, who will take turns displaying their products in the market throughout the period of the events, which will extend for months.

He explained that what distinguishes the market is the variety of events, as each week there will be different events with new stores, activities and new products, in addition to weekly participation of various offers from the Civil Defense Department, heritage shows to introduce the marine environment and marine heritage crafts, and a show by the marine band.

Mohammed Al Nuaimi added that such events, such as markets, exhibitions and festivals, achieve a qualitative leap by attracting participation from all commercial license holders for all commercial activities, as the industry of exhibitions, markets and festivals enhances the emirate’s position by attracting investments, supporting economic growth, stimulating the commercial and tourism movement, and providing a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, in addition to enhancing economic diversification across various sectors. He expects the market to witness a large turnout from visitors and the public from all the emirates of the country.
