The Ministry of Health and Population, in cooperation with the National Training Academy, launched the “Crisis and Disaster Leaders” program. Training, directed to workers in crisis and disaster departments, risk reduction, and urgent and critical care; With the aim of enhancing the readiness of health personnel to confront emergencies.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that the program comes within its strategy to develop leadership and executive skills in the crisis management system, which improves the response of health facilities and raises the efficiency of the emergency system as a whole.
He added that the program is being implemented with support from the Medical Professions Risk Compensation Fund, and includes 43 trainees from the Ministry’s General Office and the Health Affairs Directorates. In the governorates.
Dr. Hanadi Muhammad, Head of the Medical Professions Development Sector, confirmed that the program was designed according to the needs of workers in this field, and addresses advanced topics that include strategic thinking, anticipating scenarios, planning for crisis management, leadership, decision-making, negotiation, communication, and risk management in the health sector.
She explained that the duration of the program is 25 training days (150 hours), which includes scientific lectures, practical applications, case studies, and realistic simulations; To ensure the participants’ ability to apply effectively in the field.
For her part, Dr. Israa Abu Zeid, Director General of the Ministry’s training centers, indicated that the program falls within an ongoing cooperation plan with the National Training Academy, which aims to implement specialized programs to qualify health personnel during the coming period.
She stressed that this cooperation constitutes a pivotal step towards developing the training system and building leaders capable of managing crises with high efficiency in accordance with the latest standards. Global.
