Basra welcomes the UAE fans with the phrase “One Heart” before the decisive match in the World Cup playoff

Basra, Iraq, received the Emirati fans who began arriving in the city to stand behind the national team in the return match, which will be held at the Palm International Stadium as part of the final qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.

Large welcome signs were spread in the streets of Iraq along the road extending towards Basra International Airport, towards the Sports City, and in other streets.
The banners included pictures of some Emirati White players along with players from the Mesopotamia Lions team, and were linked by the phrase “One Heart,” and the welcoming phrases varied in various regions, including “May God bless you” and other beautiful phrases.

On the other hand, a large number of Iraqi fans celebrated the national team players and fans by presenting bouquets of roses and welcoming them on the road to Basra International Airport on the way to their place of residence.
