Today…the government is fighting high prices in the one-day market in Ain Shams, Cairo
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, will open, this morning, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the one-day market located in front of Ain Shams Central in the Ain Shams district, as part of the governorate’s efforts to expand outlets selling basic goods and provide citizens’ needs at prices lower than those in the markets.
The market, which is organized by Cairo Governorate, aims to support the most needy families, by providing goods. High-quality food at reduced prices, which contributes to alleviating the burden of living on low-income people, especially in light of the high prices in traditional markets.
The opening of the market comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to intensify efforts to confront the wave of high prices and provide strategic goods at fair prices, by opening additional markets and outlets in various neighborhoods of the capital, in a way that enhances market stability and ensures the arrival of goods to citizens.
