"Sheikh Zayed Festival" A platform to celebrate national heritage and world cultures

Abu Dhabi, November 20 / WAM / His Excellency Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers Club, confirmed that the Sheikh Zayed Festival represents a global platform for celebrating the heritage and cultures of the world, highlighting Emirati heritage and culture, and also giving visitors from different continents the opportunity to enjoy various cultural and artistic activities.
The Emirates Falconers Club’s pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival 2025-2026 will witness a remarkable presence of visitors of different nationalities and age groups, allowing them to learn about the club’s goals in preserving falconry and preserving the authentic Emirati heritage and traditions.
Al Mansouri explained that the club is showcasing its achievements over 24 years during its stand at the Sheikh Zayed Festival, highlighting its most prominent projects such as the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, the International Falconry Friendship Festival, the Arabian Saluki Center in Abu Dhabi, and the Falconer Magazine. He pointed out that the club’s vision focuses on celebrating Arab falconry and ensuring a balance between preserving authentic traditions, developing programs that support sustainable falconry and preserving falcons and game.
His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation and thanks to the wise leadership for the unlimited support for the club’s projects and activities and all heritage festivals, in a way that enhances national identity and preserves the ancient Emirati cultural heritage.
He stressed the importance of this great support in formulating and implementing a strategic vision that ensures compatibility between the preservation of heritage and the application of the latest methods of species protection, which enhances the international position of the UAE as a global center for culture, heritage and traditional falconry, and allows visitors from various parts of the world to learn about the pioneering Emirati experiences in this unique field.
During the festival, the club offers a range of educational and interactive activities, including learning about falcons, their types, care and training, practicing falconry and sustainable hunting, introducing the Arabian Saluki and ways to care for it, in addition to the traditions of training hunting dogs.
The platform provides visitors with the opportunity to approach falcons and Arabian Salukis and interact directly with them. Children and heritage lovers can also take souvenir photos with them and learn about the traditions of Arab falconry, with the aim of documenting this experience that combines man and desert nature.
The Arabian Saluki Center also provides basic educational information about the Saluki and the various services it provides. The Center was established in 2001 in Abu Dhabi with the aim of preserving purebred breeds, and providing those interested in the necessary knowledge about hunting with Salukis, the characteristics of Saluki dogs and ways to care for them.
The club’s participation in the Sheikh Zayed Festival aims to enhance awareness of Arab falconry, consolidate the concept of sustainable hunting, and ensure the continuation of the practice of falconry across generations, which contributes to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Emirates.
