The UAE reaches the 22nd medal in the Islamic Solidarity Games

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu team won 4 colored medals, one gold, one silver, and two bronze, in the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, which conclude tomorrow, Friday, with the participation of 3,000 male and female players from 57 countries, in which the UAE participates in 14 diverse sports.
Shamsa Al Ameri won the gold medal in the 57 kg weight after defeating Jordanian Lina Erekat, while Saeed Al Kubaisi won the silver medal in the 85 kg weight category after losing to the Saudi player Abdullah Nada. Abdullah Al Kubaisi won the 94 kg bronze medal after defeating Bahraini Khalid Farraj. Sultan Hassan also won the 69 kg bronze medal after defeating… Afghan Muhammad Hosseini.
Emmanuel Bamidele, our national team runner, won the silver medal in the men’s 400-meter race after finishing the race with a remarkable time of 45.71 seconds. Rashid Al-Kaabi also added the silver medal in the 2000-meter camel race, and Fatima Al-Amiri won the silver medal in the women’s 2000-meter camel race, and the bronze medal in the 8000-meter race, and Matar Al-Muhairi won. Our national team camel won bronze medals for the 2000 meters and 8000 meters races, as the Emirati camels continue their strong presence in the sports forum.
The UAE delegation at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh has succeeded in winning 22 medals so far, including 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals, exceeding the total tally of the last edition in the Turkish city of Konya in 2022, which amounted to 10 medals, as the 4 x 100 meter mixed relay competitions remain, which will be held this evening and our national athletics team will participate in it, in addition to The final day’s competitions will be tomorrow, Friday, in both jiu-jitsu and weightlifting for people of determination.
