Egypt participates in the IBTM 2025 exhibition in Barcelona to promote incentive and conference tourism

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, participated in the activities of the International Tourism Exhibition *entive Business Travel Meetings –IBTM 2025" Specialized in incentive tourism and conferences, which was held in Barcelona, Spain, from November 18 to 20, and is considered one of the largest and most important professional events in Europe in this field.
Engineer Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, confirmed that participation in the exhibition represents a high-level professional platform to showcase the diverse capabilities and components that Egypt possesses in the incentives and conference sector, which strengthens its position among the most prominent global destinations specialized in this type of tourism. Tourism. He added that the exhibition represents an opportunity to showcase the various tourism products and styles that meet the interests of tourists from various countries of the world, within the framework of the ministry’s strategy to highlight the unique tourism diversity in Egypt.
Participated in the opening of the Egyptian pavilion were Mohamed Abdel Latif, director of the Western European Markets Unit, Samar Ali Al-Sayyaf, responsible for the Spanish and Portuguese markets, and Hammam Mohamed, member of the General Administration of Exhibitions and Events.
The Authority’s delegation held a number of meetings during the exhibition. Professional meetings with representatives of major international companies specialized in incentive and conference tourism (MICE), in addition to meetings with representatives of international institutions such as ICCA, SITE, MPI, and IAEE, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and revitalize this type of tourism in Egypt. The delegation also made presentations that reviewed the tourism components and the most prominent points of attraction, most notably the Grand Egyptian Museum, which opened on the first of this November and received wide attention.
It participated in the Egyptian Pavilion, which amounted to Its area is 170 square meters, and includes 7 tourism companies and 9 Egyptian hotels, in addition to EgyptAir.
About 50 countries participated in the exhibition, and more than 15,000 visitors visited it, in addition to more than 3,000 specialists in the field of incentive tourism and conferences.
