"Federal National" Discussing strengthening parliamentary relations with Hungary
Budapest, 21 November / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, met with Her Excellency Elise Boglarka, Minister of State for Bilateral Relations in the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade at the Ministry’s headquarters in Budapest, during the official visit of the Council delegation to Hungary.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency: Sarah Muhammad Falaknaz, Khaled Omar Al-Kharji, Sheikha Saeed Al-Kaabi, and Mira Sultan Al-Suwaidi, members of the Council.
During the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Al Nuaimi stressed the strength of the historical bilateral relations between the UAE and Hungary, pointing out the importance of the official visit carried out by the Federal National Council delegation, headed by His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Council, in consolidating parliamentary relations and strengthening the existing partnerships between the two friendly countries.
He pointed out that the visit witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Federal National Council and the Hungarian National Assembly, in addition to issuing a joint statement in which the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, affirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation and consolidating constructive dialogue, working through parliamentary diplomacy to support the values of peace, stability and sustainable development, and intensifying consultation on issues of common interest.
His Excellency Dr. Al Nuaimi also reviewed the UAE’s approach to consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence, pointing to the role that the Abrahamic Agreement plays in promoting peace in the region, in addition to the pioneering humanitarian initiatives implemented by the UAE and its pivotal role in promoting international peace and security.
For her part, Her Excellency Elise Boglarka stressed the depth of the relations of cooperation and friendship between Hungary and the UAE, and her country’s keenness to develop and expand them in various fields. She praised the official visit of the Federal National Council delegation, stressing that the exchange of visits between officials of the two countries and the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements constitute a fundamental pillar in pushing bilateral cooperation towards broader horizons.
