Egyptians in India flock to cast their votes on the first day of overseas voting for the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Members of the Egyptian community in New Delhi, India, continued to flock to the headquarters of the Egyptian Embassy, to cast their votes on the first day of Egyptians voting abroad in the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections.
The second phase of the House of Representatives elections abroad will be held over the course of two days, Friday and Saturday, corresponding to November 21 and 22, inside 139 Egyptian embassies and consulates in 117 countries. Voting at home will begin on the 24th and 25th of November, with the official result announced on the 2nd of December. In the event of a need for a runoff, voting will take place abroad on the 15th and 16th of December, and at home on the 17th and 18th of the same month, with the result of the runoff announced on the 25th of December. One or more original employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who are appointed by a decision from the National Elections Authority.
Voting abroad begins from nine in the morning until nine in the evening according to the time of the country in which voting is taking place, as indicated in the decision of the National Elections Authority regarding the procedural and timetable for the House of Representatives elections, provided that it includes an hour of rest determined by the Chairman of the Committee, without prejudice to ensuring the proper conduct of the electoral process, and if there are voters in the Election Assembly – when the deadline expires – they do not vote. With their votes, the Chairman of the Committee draws up a list of their names, and the election process continues until the completion of expressing their opinions.
