Sporting clinches third place in the men’s basketball league
The Sporting team succeeded in clinching third place in the Men’s Basketball League Championship after the Al-Mattala team defeated Smouha in the match to determine third and fourth places in the match that was held at the Burj Al-Arab Hall in Alexandria.
The Al-Mattala Sporting team was able to achieve victory in the return match a short while ago over its counterpart Smouha with a score of 75–66, to confirm its third place in the overall standings.
It was Sporting has placed its foot in third place since the first leg, after the Al-Muttala team won with a score of 70 – 61, before the men’s team achieved victory with a score of 79 – 70 last Wednesday.
The return match for the men between Sporting and Smouha is scheduled to be held shortly, but it will be a result of the result after Sporting officially clinched third place.
It is noteworthy that the first leg of the tournament final between Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria will be held tomorrow, Saturday, in 6 p.m., with the men’s match starting at 8:30 p.m. at Zewail Hall in 6th of October City.
As for the return match, it will take place on Monday, November 24th, with the Al-Muttazala match being played at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s match at 7:30 p.m.
