Radical amendments to the football law… a countdown to implementing throw-ins

Media reports said that the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) is preparing to introduce a series of fundamental amendments to the laws of the most popular game in the world, which aim to speed up the pace of play, reduce time-wasting, and give attackers a greater advantage to increase the number of goals.

Network reported BBCFIFA is preparing for major changes in football laws, including:

1- The injured player who goes out for treatment cannot return to play before at least one minute has passed.

2- A countdown system will be applied for throw-ins and goal throws, and if the time is exceeded, the ball will be awarded directly to the opposing team.

3- The player who leaves the field must leave it within a maximum of 10 seconds, otherwise the substitute will not be allowed to enter, and the team will play with ten players until the next stop of play (and not less than 60 seconds).

5- Expanding the powers of the “VAR”, by reviewing incorrect second yellow cards via video technology, and in some tournaments (according to the organizers’ choice) the “VAR” can be activated in the corners.
