An Emirati took the lead in the Fujairah International Show Jumping Championship on its first day

Fujairah, 21st November / WAM / The Fujairah International Three-Star Show Jumping Championship competitions were launched today, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, which comes within the Fujairah Equestrian Championships 2025, with the participation of 27 countries, amid a distinguished atmosphere and a strong start that reflected the readiness of the riders and the field.

The first day witnessed a remarkable presence and clear brilliance of the Emirates riders, who imposed their control on the lead from the start, as the victories of the Emirates riders were inaugurated by the rider, Abdullah Hamad Al Karbi, and he was crowned first place in the first competition of the championship. It came with the specifications of the two special stages, and its course was designed by the Italian international Andrea Colombo, using hurdles that reached a height of 115 cm. 67 male and female riders accepted their challenges, of whom 27 riders succeeded in completing the course. Both stages without error.

With the time difference, the jockey Abdullah Hamad Al-Karbi and the horse “Simba H” were crowned first, and he finished the second stage in a time of 21.55 seconds. The second place trophy was crowned by the Syrian jockey Muhammad Ghali Al-Zibek with the horse “Contenders Dream”, and he completed the second stage in a time of 21.76 seconds. The third place award was won by our jockey Hamad Al-Nuaimi and the horse “Delphin Von Z”, recording 22.39 seconds.

While the jockey Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi achieved a second victory in the second competition with “Annie S of the Lowlands Z”, with the specifications of one round over the 130 cm hurdles, in which 33 male and female jockeys competed, 11 of whom succeeded in completing the round without error. With the time difference, the first place award was won by the jockey Salem Al Suwaidi, recording 57.75 seconds, and after that he was crowned with the second place award, the Syrian jockey Muhammad Fadi Al Zubibi with “Shacanto Blue”. PS S” and the time was 62.23 seconds. The third place award was won by his compatriot Jawad Nizam with “Varoso W” and the time was 63.43 seconds.

The competitions of the first day of the tournament concluded with a victory achieved by the jockey Abdullah Hamid Al Muhairi with “Oshi Va Domenshov” in a competition with the specifications of one round, and the course was designed with barriers reaching a height of 145 cm, and 17 riders accepted the challenges of participating in it, and the jockey Abdullah Hamid was the only one to perform in it without error, in a time of 75.09 seconds, and he was crowned with the first place award, and the second place award was won by the Iranian jockey Ali Aziznia with “Onya Doman”. He completed the round in a fast time of 65.99 seconds, with 4 penalty points, and the rider, Mohammed Ghanem Al-Hajri, won the third place award with “Lililonka STW” with a time of 68.78 seconds, and with 4 penalty points.

The championship competitions will continue tomorrow, Saturday, and three competitions will also be held in the minor, middle and major categories.

The first day’s competitions witnessed special honors, where His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, crowned the winners of the first round in appreciation of their distinguished performance.

His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, crowned the top holders in the second round.

The first day’s ceremonies concluded with the crowning of the winners of the third round by Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, emphasizing the great support enjoyed by the tournament and its growing presence on the international scene.

The Fujairah International Show Jumping Championship continues its competitions in various categories, amid expectations of more competition and excitement, and with the continued strong presence of UAE riders who aspire to continue their streak of brilliance in this prestigious international championship.
