Olympic champion Ahmed El Gendy, player of the modern pentathlon national team and head of the Egyptian Olympic Committee’s Players Committee, underwent successful surgery on the right shoulder, in a hospital in Germany.
The Olympic champion and gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics published on his Facebook page pictures of him with his family after the operation, commenting on them, "Praise be to God always and forever.. a new journey. It starts today after surgery on my right shoulder in Germany. Exactly 3 and a half years ago, the same process, the same circumstances, and thank God, it was a successful journey that concluded with gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with great generosity from God, and with certainty in God, there will be a stronger return, God willing, for a long journey to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.”
Olympic champion Ahmed El Gendy, player of the modern pentathlon team and gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, appeared at the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The celebration also witnessed the appearance of champion Farida Othman, the swimming team player, and Feryal Ashraf, the karate player and gold medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
