Health care: Conducting 7 million medical examinations with comprehensive health insurance

The General Authority for Health Care announced the conduct of more than 7 million comprehensive medical examinations for beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system in the system’s governorates, which include the governorates of Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, and Aswan, as part of the authority’s efforts to preserve the health of citizens and enhance the quality of health services provided.

 

The authority confirmed that the comprehensive medical examination is conducted in a Regular and free for all beneficiaries of comprehensive health insurance, it includes a group of clinical examinations and laboratory tests, starting with nursing evaluation and measuring vital signs, through examination by the family doctor and dentist, all the way to performing a group of medical analyzes and blood tests, which contributes to enhancing prevention and early detection of diseases.

 

She continued: The comprehensive medical examination is provided through 285 family medicine units and centers affiliated with the Authority. In the comprehensive health insurance governorates, in addition to mobile medical clinics and door-knocking campaigns, targeting beneficiaries who are unable to reach health units, to ensure everyone’s access to free medical examination services without any obstacles.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, President of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, stressed that comprehensive medical examination is a right for every citizen who benefits from the services of the comprehensive health insurance system, and is a major tool in the early detection of chronic diseases, which contributes to reducing their risks and complications, in line with With the presidential initiatives under the slogan “100 Million Health”.

 

The head of the authority explained that the comprehensive medical examination includes 11 types of periodic examinations for early detection of chronic diseases such as blood pressure measurement, dental examination, hemoglobin measurement, random sugar analysis, blood type determination (RH & ABO), as well as advanced examinations such as triglyceride analysis, cumulative sugar, kidney function, fundus examination, and blood flow chart. The heart, while in cases that require further procedures, an ultrasound scan of the heart (Echo) is performed and the patient is transferred to the Authority’s hospitals to complete the necessary examinations and treatment according to his health condition.
