The Fujairah Dressage Championship begins tomorrow under the sponsorship of Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi

Fujairah, November 23, 2017 – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Fujairah Dressage Championship (Dressage) will begin tomorrow, Monday, in the Fujairah Castle Square, as part of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships activities, which continue to consolidate the emirate’s position as a leading destination for equestrian sports at the state and regional levels.
The Supreme Organizing Committee for the Championships announced, during a press conference held in Fujairah Castle Square, the completion of all technical and organizational preparations for the launch of the Fujairah Dressage Championship, which is held for one day and witnesses the participation of 70 male and female riders from inside and outside the UAE, in competitions held in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Equestrian Federation, and showcases the control skills, accuracy and harmony between the rider and the horse in performing the approved movements.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships, confirmed that holding the dressage championship at this time comes as a continuation of the program of international championships hosted by Fujairah, and reflects the vision and support of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah to enhance the emirate’s presence in various equestrian competitions.
He said: “The dressage championship is a very important stage within the Fujairah Equestrian Championships this year, because it represents a high artistic value that requires skill and precise harmony between the rider and the horse, and contributes to supporting the participation of riders at different levels, and consolidating Fujairah’s position in the agenda of international events for this sport.”
During the conference, His Excellency expressed his thanks to the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, the partners, supporters and the media for their continuous efforts and continued support for the championship.
For his part, Mr. Ali Musabah Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Championships, explained that the championship attracts diverse participation from riders from the Emirates and from abroad, pointing out that this edition will witness strong competitions that reflect the development of the level of players and their interest in dressage competitions.
In turn, Sultan Khalifa Al Yahyai, Chairman of the Show Jumping Committee at the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, stressed the importance of the dressage championship in highlighting the aesthetics of horses and their motor capabilities, praising the efforts of the organizing committee in providing an integrated competitive environment in accordance with the highest international standards.
For his part, Engineer Awad Al-Sayari, advisor to the CEO of the Union Water and Electricity Company, expressed the company’s happiness in being a strategic partner for the championships, and in the role it plays in enhancing the presence of equestrianism as an integral part of Emirati culture, and consolidating the values of courage, harmony and skill that distinguish this sport.
