The head of the Aman Environment Association, Nasser Irsheed Al-Mujallad, explained that the northern border region has become a suitable environment for the spread of this type of bird due to the low levels of visual and light pollution, and the diversity of Vegetation in some locations, as well as The dry climate which is compatible with the nature of migratory and resident desert birds.
He pointed out that the long-tailed dove is one of the species capable of adapting to open and semi-desert environments, as it feeds mainly on grains and seeds, and prefers to build its nests in shrubs and low places, in addition to its calm behavior compared to some other types of pigeons.
