Minister of Finance: Artificial intelligence greatly helps in increasing productivity and revenues and reducing costs
Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, stressed that we will partner with everyone to benefit from the enormous information wealth associated with mechanization and digital transformation for the benefit of the economy and people, pointing out that what the state has accomplished in digital transformation represents an exceptional opportunity for strong investment in artificial intelligence.
The Minister said, during his participation in the conference “The Future of the Accounting and Auditing Profession in Egypt in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” Organized by the Egyptian Institute of Accountants and Auditors, artificial intelligence strongly helps increase productivity and revenues, reduce costs, and improve services.
He added that permanently developing the accounting and auditing profession represents a strong investment in our economy and its competitive capabilities, explaining that we will continue to develop to ensure more quality, easy and stimulating tax services for the Egyptian business community and economy.
He indicated that we are ready to employ artificial intelligence tools to make the most of automated systems for taxes and public finance, pointing out that we have 3.5 billion electronic invoices and receipts, and we look forward to analyzing them more deeply in a way that serves the economy and is reflected in the quality of services.
Kojok stressed that we are interested in the recommendations of accounting and auditing experts, and are very open to all ambitious ideas and are ready with incentives and institutional support, explaining that we aim to launch exceptional and permanent training and qualification programs and to establish local and international partnerships to advance the accounting and auditing profession.
The minister said: “I am very happy… with the serious desire I sensed among everyone for development, modernization, and openness to the world.”
