The Interior Ministry reveals details of the circulation of a video about the parliamentary elections and the distribution of sums of money in Gharbia
Security services revealed the circumstances of a video clip circulated on social networking sites, which included that one of the candidates was harmed by supporters of another candidate distributing sums of money to citizens in the district of the Third Police Station, Al Mahalla in Gharbiya, to push them to vote for him.
The examination revealed that the truth of the incident was that the security services concerned with securing one of the electoral districts in the city of Mahalla monitored two incidents of bypassing and arrested those in charge of them (3 people, and a woman – residing in the district of the Third Police Station, Mahalla). In one of the garages and one of the streets around one of the electoral districts in the city of Mahalla, because they collected a number of citizens’ national ID cards and possessed sums of money in preparation for distributing it to them to vote for 2 candidates.
Legal measures were taken against them… and they were presented to the Public Prosecution and informed by the National Elections Authority.
