The Prime Minister participates in the opening session of the seventh summit between the African Union and the European Union in Angola

Today, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, participated on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the activities of the opening session of the seventh summit between the African Union and the European Union, hosted by the capital Luanda in the Republic of Angola, over the course of the 24th and 25th of November, under the slogan “Promoting Peace and Prosperity through Effective Multilateral Cooperation,” in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, And Ambassador Nevin Al-Husseini, Egyptian Ambassador to the Republic of Angola.
The activities of the opening session began with the honor of Civil society, the private sector, and youth representatives from both continents.
The seventh summit between the African Union and the European Union represents a prominent milestone commemorating a quarter of a century of partnership and close cooperation between the African and European Unions, in order to strengthen economic, political and social ties, as the summit witnesses over the course of its two days; The most prominent common challenges, issues of peace, security, migration, climate change, and economic growth were discussed, as well as the themes of the green economy, health, youth empowerment, and multilateral cooperation. The summit also witnesses a review of current opportunities to strengthen the African-European partnership, and ways to advance cooperation and economic integration between Europe and the African continent.
