Regularity of security services around the committees of the second phase of the elections "Representatives"
Before the opening of the polls for the second and final day of the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections, which includes 13 governorates, the vicinity of the election committees and headquarters witnessed intense security deployment, in preparation for the start of the voting process at exactly nine in the morning.
Policemen combed the electoral campus for voting committees from abroad, through extensive security deployment around the committees. And all the roads and axes leading to it; This is in coordination with the concerned authorities on the one hand, in addition to securing all the axes and main roads leading to them on the other hand.
In the same context, security directors, security leaders, and supervisory levels in the 13 governorates made a field visit to the forces participating in the plan to secure the elections; To ensure its readiness to carry out the tasks entrusted to it with the utmost precision and discipline, and to stress the importance of committing to the good treatment of citizens during the implementation of the plan’s axes, taking into account the humanitarian dimension, especially with the elderly and people with special needs, and providing all the necessary needs to help them, in implementation of the directives of Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior.
It should be noted that the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections has begun. Yesterday, the result will be announced and published in the Official Gazette after the completion of the electoral process, while the runoff elections will be held internally on the 17th and 18th of next December.
The second phase of the House of Representatives elections includes 13 governorates, in which candidates compete under the individual system across 73 electoral districts, with a total of 1,316 candidates.
Cairo came in the lead. In terms of the number of electoral districts, with a total of 19 electoral districts in which 205 candidates are competing, then Dakahlia Governorate, with a total of 10 electoral districts in which 288 candidates are competing, then Sharkia Governorate, with a total of 9 electoral districts in which 253 candidates are competing, then Gharbia Governorate, with a total of 7 electoral districts in which 140 candidates are competing, then Qalyubia Governorate, with a total of 6 electoral districts in competition. It has 71 candidates, and Menoufia Governorate, with a total of 6 electoral districts in which 125 candidates are competing.
The next order is Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, with a total of 4 electoral districts in which 88 candidates are competing, then Ismailia Governorate, with a total of 3 electoral districts in which 36 candidates are competing, then Damietta Governorate, with a total of two districts.
