Kamel Al-Wazir discusses ways to strengthen cooperation between… "Egypt and Algeria" In the fields of industry and transportation

Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, held an expanded meeting with Yahya Bashir, Minister of Industry, Saeed Al-Sayoud, Minister of Interior and Transport of Algeria, and their accompanying delegation, to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of industry and transport. The meeting was attended by a number of leaders from the Ministries of Industry and Transport. Sister Algeria represents a role model for Arab integration, as the two countries have growing strategic relations in various fields.  

 

The meeting also touched on opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport, especially maritime transport and the field of infrastructure through the use of companies and expertise  The Egyptian government is keen to establish infrastructure projects in Algeria, especially with the giant projects implemented by these companies in Egypt and in a number of Arab and African countries according to the highest quality standards.

 

The minister stressed that the transportation system in Egypt is witnessing great development during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, pointing to the giant projects that were completed  It is being implemented in Egypt, such as the high-speed electric train network, the light electric train (LRT), the two monorail projects, the modern road network, and port projects  Marine and dry logistics areas and the comprehensive development of the railway system, the impact of which was reflected in the rise in Egypt’s classification in various fields of transport according to various international classifications, in addition to contributing to increasing the attraction of foreign investments in various fields.

 

Saeed Al-Sayoud, Algeria’s Minister of Interior and Transport, also stressed the importance of cooperation with Egypt in the field of sea ports and in seeking the help of Egyptian companies in implementing many infrastructure projects in Algeria.

 

For his part, Yahya Bashir, the Algerian Minister of Industry, stressed his country’s keenness to deepen relations between the two countries, praising the boom that Egypt is witnessing in the fields of infrastructure, industry and transportation, and stressing Algeria’s aspiration to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore new investment opportunities that benefit the two brotherly peoples.
