International talents compete in Dubai.. The “Al Habtoor Tennis Championship” reveals the list of participants

The organizing committee of the Al Habtoor International Women’s Tennis Challenge is preparing to launch the twenty-eighth edition of the event, holding a press conference at 10:30 am next Sunday at the Al Habtoor Grand Resort, to announce the details of the new edition and conduct the draw ceremony.
The tournament’s financial prizes amount to $100,000, competed for by about 80 players representing the elite of promising women on their way to higher international levels, which reflects the artistic value of the event that annually brings together a group of the most prominent emerging talents in the world of tennis.
Ukrainian Daria Snegur stands out as one of the most important names participating this year, as the champion of the 2021 edition and runner-up in the 2019 edition returns to Dubai, driven by a distinguished record on grass floors, after achieving remarkable results in the Wimbledon and Nottingham tournaments, in addition to reaching the main round in the Australian Open.
Austrian Julia Graber, ranked 92nd in the world, tops the list of participating players, along with Latvia’s Daria Semenistaya, ranked 94th, and Hungarian Dalma Galfi, ranked 96th, who both have a distinguished record during the season. The list also includes Russian Anastasia Zakharova, ranked 101st, and Austrian Sinja Krause, ranked 105th, after the final list was approved by the organizing committee.
The current year is witnessing clear brilliance for the participating players, as Graber achieved her second title in the WTA 125 tournament last October after winning the Florianópolis tournament in Brazil, returning to the list of the top 100 players for the first time since November 2023. As for Semenistaya, she succeeded in reaching her first participation in the US Open draw, before making her way to a remarkable victory in the “Les Frances del Valles” tournament. For the 100 category, an achievement that gave it a strong push towards the advanced positions in the world rankings. Hungarian Dalma Galfi continues to deliver an exceptional season, as she won two consecutive titles in the WTA 125 tournaments, after winning the Oeiras Open and then the Catalunya Open the following week, confirming her full readiness to compete in Dubai.
For her part, the tournament director, Noura Badawi, revealed that nine players were given wild cards, four of which were for the main draw, and they are: Christy Fria from the United Kingdom, Kristina Mladenovic from France, Vendula Valdmanova from the Czech Republic, and Vera Zvonareva from Russia. Five players also received cards for the qualifying competitions, and they are: Esther Vinak from Hungary, Viktoria Morvajova from Slovakia, and Sevin Ural. From Türkiye, Mika Stoisavljevic from the United Kingdom, and Nina Vargova from Slovakia, the doubles cards will be announced on the first of next December.
