Al-Wasl takes the lead in the AFC Champions League 2

Al-Wasl tied with Iranian Esteghlal with a goal for each team, on Wednesday, at Shahr Qods Stadium in Tehran in the fifth round matches of the first group competitions in the AFC Champions League 2, so that the “Emperor” took the lead in the group by reaching 11 points, entitlement to qualify for the final 16, while Esteghlal raised its score to 5 points in third place, behind Bahrain’s Muharraq with 7 points, while Jordanian Al-Wahdat occupies fourth place with 4 points.

The home team started the match strongly, scoring the first goal early through Saeed Saherkhizan in the seventh minute.

As for the second half, Al-Wasl’s performance improved, and Adama Diallo missed the team’s most dangerous opportunity with a ball during which he was alone with the goal, dodged the goalkeeper and shot the ball, but the Esteghlal defense cleared it before it crossed the goal line (55).

In the 63rd minute, Hugo Neto scored the first goal after receiving a beautiful pass from Serginho, and shot a perfect ball into the goal from inside the penalty area, while Khaled Al-Sanani excelled by blocking a powerful shot from Jasser Assani (70), so the match ended in a draw.
