"American of Sharjah" Artificial intelligence research is presented at an international conference

Sharjah, 27 November / WAM / The American University of Sharjah reviewed its latest research in the fields of reliable artificial intelligence and smart systems, during its hosting of the twelfth session of the International Conference on Approved Systems and Their Applications 2025, which concluded its activities yesterday and lasted for three days, with the participation of an elite group of researchers, experts and policy makers from inside and outside the country.
The conference discussed ways to enhance reliability in smart systems and software, and verification methodologies based on formal rules, in addition to discussing advanced engineering techniques to develop stable and secure systems from the design stage to operation.
The campus also witnessed technical sessions that addressed adaptive intelligence, autonomous and predictive systems, intelligent detection, and artificial intelligence-based optimization, in addition to research presentations on robots based on large linguistic models, autonomous driving evaluation frameworks, and robustness requirements in cloud computing environments.
The virtual sessions focused on software testing and defect analysis, ensuring reliability in cloud and edge computing systems, advanced artificial intelligence applications, and human-machine interaction, and the discussions emphasized the growing role of large linguistic models and hybrid computing architectures in developing more reliable systems.
Dr. Fadi Ahmed Al-Aloul, Dean of the College of Engineering and Honorary President of the conference, stressed the importance of the university hosting this scientific event because it represents support for the UAE’s trends in developing reliable and accountable artificial intelligence systems.
For his part, Dr. Imran Zulqarnain, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, explained that the conference provided a global platform for exchanging experiences and building new research partnerships, while Dr. Khaled Al-Faqih, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, indicated that the program focused on the engineering aspects of reliable systems, in a way that enhances their real-world applications.
The conference proceedings will be published through the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) publishing services and uploaded to global databases, in addition to inviting a number of researchers to publish expanded versions of their studies in prestigious international journals.
The conference was sponsored by Southwest Jiaotong University and technical support from IEEE and a number of academic and industrial institutions.
