" Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian" Celebrates the symbolism of falcons

Al Ain, November 27 / WAM / The Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition highlights the position of the iconic falcon, the purebred Arabian horse, the camel and the Arabian Saluki in the lives of Emiratis, as they formed an integral part of the local culture, highlighting their historical role and continuing importance in Emirati traditions.

The exhibition continues until November 30th. The ADNEC Center in Al Ain brings together under its roof a wide range of traditional and modern products and services for lovers of falconry, equestrianism, and outdoor activities.

The exhibition celebrates the symbolism of falcons, rooted in the Emirati national identity, which has been immortalized in literature, music and the arts, through the falconry sector, which gives visitors the opportunity to see the latest products and the finest types of falcons from local farms.

Al Dhafra Falcons Company participates in the exhibition with a distinguished group of falcons for sale.

Ibrahim Abdullah Khazem, the company’s representative, confirmed that the event constitutes an important platform for displaying and selling falcons and attracting a wide segment of falconry enthusiasts. He explained that the exhibition represents a vital link between those interested in this field, facilitating the marketing process and enhancing public awareness of the importance of this traditional sport, in addition to providing easier access opportunities for all groups interested in falcons.

Ali Salem Al-Hassani, owner of Al-Shaheen Al-Dhahabi Falconry Shop, stressed that the exhibition constitutes an ideal platform for falconers to display their services in the field of hunting and equestrianism, praising the initiatives that contribute to preserving the sport of falconry as an essential pillar for the future of this heritage industry.

He explained that technological developments and modern equipment meet the growing needs of falconry enthusiasts, enhancing Abu Dhabi’s efforts in supporting hunting and equestrian activities and consolidating its position as a leading destination in this field.

Exhibitors such as Gharnas Falconry Company offer specialized equipment, including hoods, perches, leather belts, and gloves, which are essential tools for training and handling these majestic birds professionally.

While the equestrian sector at the exhibition provides a unique opportunity for visitors; To discover the latest equestrian equipment and supplies, in addition to enjoying live shows that showcase horse riding and jumping skills, and direct interaction with trainers and experts in this field. The Arabian Horse Association also highlights the cultural and historical value of purebred Arabian horses, their role in hunting, and their close connection to the heritage of the city of Al Ain.

The first edition of the exhibition also includes a section dedicated to camels, showcasing the latest innovations in related products and services, including research developments from the Biotechnology Research Center in the UAE, in addition to basic equipment and specialized feed to maintain the health of camels and enhance their performance in racing.

As for the Arabian Saluki section, it celebrates this ancient breed that has been associated with traditional hunting in the region, as Dalma Kennel presents a group of purebred Arabian Salukis, stressing its commitment to preserving this cultural heritage. Visitors can attend live shows and interactive workshops to learn about Saluki training methods, in addition to following daily demonstrations of hunting Saluki dogs, which reveal their agility and unique skill.
