The National Archives and Library celebrates the 54th Union Day

Abu Dhabi, 27 November / WAM / To celebrate the 54th Union Day, the National Archives and Library organized a group of national and heritage events that reflected the spirit of the occasion, and were witnessed by the institution’s employees and visitors.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the National Archives and Library, stressed that Union Day is an immortal day in the memory of the Emirates, carrying meanings of pride and joy, and renewing in the souls the spirit of belonging and giving, noting that it is the day in which hearts were united in a sincere will to build a proud homeland.
He explained that the anniversary of the establishment of the Union recalls the historical moment in which the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, began writing the story of Emirati glory. Since that day, a pioneering cultural renaissance began that elevated the country to the ranks of developed countries and provided the world with a development model to emulate.
He added that Union Day is a renewed national occasion that inspires generations with a spirit of challenge and creativity, and calls on them to continue creating glories for the nation in the footsteps of leaders whose achievements have dazzled the world. He recalled the efforts of the Founding Fathers and their great contributions, praising the role of the wise leadership that continued the journey with determination and determination, raising the UAE to advanced ranks in various indicators of progress and prosperity.
On behalf of the National Archives and the National Library, His Excellency extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the wise leadership and the people of the Emirates on this dear national occasion, stressing the commitment of the Archives and the National Library to fulfill its mission of preserving the nation’s memory and ancient heritage, and keeping pace with its achievements, so that it remains a rich record that inspires generations and enhances the process of building the future.
