المملكة: Arresting violators of the environmental law in Riyadh, Asir and Medina

Special Forces for Environmental Security A resident of Bangladeshi nationality violated the environmental law, for polluting the environment and damaging the soil by unloading concrete materials in Asir region, and the legal procedures were applied against him, and he was referred to the competent authorities.
The forces explained that the penalty for engaging in an activity or act that directly or indirectly leads to harming or polluting the soil or negatively affecting the use of it or destroying its natural properties is a fine of up to (10) million riyals.
Transporting local firewood
While the Special Forces for Environmental Security arrested a citizen In violation of the environmental regulations, he was in possession of (3) cubic meters of Local firewood in the Medina region, and regulatory procedures were applied against it, and the seized quantities were handed over to the competent authorities.
The forces explained that the penalty for using local firewood and charcoal in commercial activities is a fine of up to (32,000) riyals per cubic meter, and the penalty for transporting, selling and storing local firewood and charcoal is a fine of up to (16,000) riyals per cubic meter.
Camping without License
Environmental Security also arrested a citizen who violated the environmental system, for committing a violation of camping without a license in the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, and legal procedures were applied against him.
The forces explained that the penalty for violating camping in forests or national parks without a license is a fine of up to (3,000) riyals.
Environmental Security urged to report any cases that represent an attack on the environment or wildlife on the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Medina, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality, without any responsibility on the part of the reporter.
