“Al-Azhar Media” launches its sixth international conference entitled: “Dawah Media and Human Building”

The Faculty of Information for Boys at Al-Azhar University launches tomorrow, Saturday  Its sixth international conference is entitled: “Dawa Media and Human Building,” under the generous patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and in the presence of a number of senior religious and academic leaders. The Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, the Minister of Endowments, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, the Mufti of the Republic, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, and the President of Al-Azhar University, Prof. Dr. Salama Daoud, and Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq, and a number of college deans, in addition to an elite group of researchers and specialists in media, advocacy, and communication sciences.

The conference this year comes to reflect the vision of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in employing the increasing power of advocacy media in building human awareness and consolidating the values ​​of moderation and enlightenment in light of the current digital transformations. With the expansion of electronic platforms and the expansion of the scope of communication influence, advocacy discourse has become faced with a double responsibility that requires combining scientific originality and media professionalism, in a way that ensures the protection of identity, strengthens belonging, and confronts the waves of intellectual turmoil that the contemporary world is experiencing.

Professor Dr. stressed. Reda Abdel-Wajed Amin, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Conference, said that the conference provides an in-depth reading of the role of the media in shaping youth awareness, enhancing intellectual security, and consolidating positive behaviors, reviewing multiple levels of interaction between religious discourse and traditional and digital media. It also discusses the emerging challenges created by the modern communication environment, especially with regard to the rapid spread of information, the growing influence of platforms, and the changing ways of public interaction, and the consequent necessity of developing the skills of those in charge of advocacy and media alike.

While Prof. Dr. explained: Abdel Radi Hamdi, the college’s dean for student affairs and the conference’s rapporteur, said that the conference sessions seek to crystallize a new system for advocacy media, based on an authentic Azhar vision that understands the complexities of the times and employs technology to serve the religious message, with a focus on building a human being capable of rational thinking, informed decision-making, and positive engagement in society. The conference also aims to enhance the ability of religious and media institutions to produce a balanced discourse that preserves the constants of identity, consolidates the meanings of compassion, citizenship, and moderation, and provides solid scientific answers to contemporary intellectual and behavioral challenges.

Professor Dr. Sameh Abdel Ghani, Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Secretary General of the Conference, said that the Conference of the Faculty of Information at Al-Azhar University – In its sixth edition – It works to continue its role in supporting specialized research, developing advocacy discourse, and launching new paths for effective communication with the public, embodying the vision of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif that the media is no longer just a means of transmitting the message, but rather has become an authentic partner in building awareness and human creation.
