Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali meets with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union
On the sidelines of the Forum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean and the Summit of Speakers of Parliament, which are hosted by the Egyptian House of Representatives, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, met with Dr. Tulia Axon, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania.
At the beginning of the meeting, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali affirmed the Egyptian Parliament’s constant keenness to actively engage in the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in light of the historical relations between the Egyptian Parliament and the Union.
At the level of bilateral relations between Egypt and Tanzania, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali expressed great pride in the historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries, praising the positive momentum that These relations are witnessed at all levels, in light of the keenness of the political leadership in both countries to consolidate strategic cooperation in all fields, and permanent consultation and coordination on issues of common concern.
For her part, the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania expressed her great pride in participating in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean and the Summit of Speakers of Parliaments, praising the active and effective role of the Egyptian Parliament in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, expressing Tanzania’s pride With its historical and close relations with Egypt, and its appreciation for the development role played by Egypt in Tanzania and the African continent.
