Jurcic: Pyramids’ victory in Zambia is important… and the tournament is full of challenges
Croatian Kronoslav Jurcic, coach of the Pyramids team, expressed his great happiness with the victory achieved by the team over Power Dynamos of Zambia in the second round of the group stage of the African Champions League, 1-0, and gained three important new points in the process of maintaining the continental championship title.
Jurcic added during the press conference after the match that he was expecting a strong match from Power Dynamos because it is a special team on its home soil in particular and has a group of important players in some positions. They can play in big clubs, stressing that he showed the extent of his quality against Pyramids, but in the end his team achieved victory and collected three other important points that put the team in an excellent position in the competition for a ticket to qualify for the next round in the tournament.
Jurcic stressed that winning two matches does not mean at all a guarantee of qualification because the journey has variables and the tournament is strong.
Jurcic said: After the victory over the Zambian champions, there is no time to rest and must return immediately to the team. Cairo, because we have a league match in just two days that must be won to continue the local journey with full force.
