His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, affirmed that “Martyr’s Day” is an important national occasion in which the people of the Emirates remember the sacrifices of heroes who gave their lives in defense of the homeland. His Highness pointed out that commemorating the righteous martyrs is a national duty that embodies the values ​​of loyalty to those who gave their lives in sacrifice for the homeland, and confirms that their sacrifices will remain entrenched in the conscience of the people of the Emirates, generation after generation.

His Highness said: “Martyr’s Day brings together the people of the Emirates on the values ​​of loyalty, loyalty and belonging to the homeland. It is a day of pride in the men who stood with courage and faith to defend their homeland and achieve its mission of supporting truth and spreading peace. Our martyrs embodied with their lives the highest meanings of sacrifice.”

His Highness added: “The founding fathers, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, laid down firm values ​​based on making precious and precious efforts, adhering to the highest principles of the Union, and preserving its capabilities. This approach is followed by sincere men who chose the path of pride and dignity, believing that the elevation of the nation is worth every sacrifice.
