Giza Youth and Sports continues to raise readiness through meetings for awareness, we meet

Under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Eng. Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza, the Youth and Sports Directorate continues the activities of the series of dialogue meetings and workshops in its third consecutive season under the title “For Awareness We Meet,” which is implemented by the Central Administration for Strategic Management represented by the General Administration for Crises, Disasters and Risk Reduction.
Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sabrot, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Giza, followed the activities of the second day, which came In continuation of the specialized training course that began on the first day, participants acquired the basics of crisis management and the concepts of the security and safety guideline. The activities began with an interactive dialogue presented by Dr. Mohsen Muhammad Ali, during which he discussed the most prominent components of the guideline and the mechanisms for its application within youth and sports institutions.
The activities moved to the practical side under the leadership of Captain Muhammad Khalifa, Head of the Training Department of the Civil Protection Department in Giza, who provided a detailed explanation of emergency and evacuation plans within the facilities; Starting from identifying emergency exits and safe paths, passing through the roles of evacuation teams, all the way to the mechanisms for gathering individuals at safe points outside the building to ensure the safety of everyone.
The training also included a practical explanation of the correct use of fire extinguishers, where participants learned about the types of extinguishers and ways to use them according to the PASS rule, which is based on pulling the safety pin, directing the nozzle towards the source of the fire, pressing the handle, and sweeping until the fire is completely extinguished.
After a short break, Dr. Mohsen Muhammad continued Discussions with the participants about activating the components of the guideline and its application mechanisms to achieve a safe work environment, in addition to discussing the most prominent challenges within youth and sports facilities and reviewing methods for dealing with them.
The day concluded with a session moderated by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sabrout, who stressed the importance of continuing these meetings and specialized training programs in supporting workers and reducing risks within the facilities. He also listened to the opinions of the participants and their challenges, and directed that full support be provided to them within the system of strategic crisis management, praising the efforts of the supporting leaders, led by the Minister of Youth and Sports, and expressing his hope that these events would be an advanced step towards a safer and more prepared sector.
The implementation of the activities came under the guidance of Dr. Ahmed Hamdi, Head of the Central Administration for Strategic Management, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohsen Mohamed Ali, Director of the General Administration for Crises, Disasters and Risk Reduction, and with the follow-up of Mohamed Abdel-Al, Director The Strategic Administration of the Youth and Sports Directorate in Giza, Hanan Abdel Fattah, Director of the Dokki Administration, Amira Abu Al-Najah, Assistant Undersecretary for Youth, and Sherine Al-Jarhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports, in addition to the strategic management team that included Safaa Mohamed Salah, Laila Al-Husseini, Hebat Allah Mohamed, and Mohamed Hakim. The course was presented by Doaa Al-Haddad from the Department of Public Relations and Media.
With this, the series “For Awareness We Meet” continues its role in spreading awareness and enhancing the culture of risk management within the facilities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which contributes to improving the work environment and establishing safety standards for workers and those who frequent these facilities.
