The Minister of Youth and Sports witnesses the opening ceremony of the Arab Cup Championship in Qatar
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers witnessed; The opening ceremony of the Arab Cup Championship, which was held at Al-Bayt International Stadium in Al-Khor in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed, on the sidelines of his attendance at the opening, that the tournament represents an important Arab gathering that reflects the power of sports in strengthening relations between countries, praising the distinguished organization provided by the State of Qatar, and its ability to host major sporting events.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi pointed out that Egypt’s constant keenness to actively participate in Arab and international tournaments, based on the state’s support for sports and the directives of the political leadership to pay attention to mass sports, especially football, as a soft power.
He also expressed his wishes to provide a distinguished level for the Egyptian team, as well as his wishes for all participating teams for success, stressing that the tournament represents a great opportunity for Arab fans to enjoy strong competitions and a football atmosphere that combines fun.
