“Al-Tadawi” wins the title of “The Airplane” in the Nad Al Sheba tournament

The Al-Tadawi team was crowned champion of the volleyball championship in the 13th edition of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, after its exciting victory over the Yazar team 3-2, in the final match that was held at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, in the presence of a large crowd.

The Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament is the largest sporting event of its kind, launched and sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai. It is held annually during the holy month of Ramadan at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, under the slogan “Limitless Capabilities.”

The Tadawi team’s coronation came after a strong and exciting final match, during which it overturned a two-game deficit to a well-deserved victory by three games to two, after losing the first and second games with scores of 21-25 and 14-25, before it rose up and came back strong to win the next three games with scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 15-7, in one of the most exciting matches in the tournament.

Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, Khalfan Belhoul, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, Ismail Al Hashemi, and Director of the Tournament, Hassan Al Mazrouei, crowned the winners, in the presence of the Director General of the General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri.

The players of the Al-Tadawi team, which includes a number of stars from the Italian Cuneo team, received gold medals and the championship cup in addition to the financial prize amounting to 600 thousand dirhams, while the Yazar team received silver medals and a second place prize worth 500 thousand dirhams, while the Al-Samawi team took third place after defeating the “MIN Investment” team in the third and fourth place match, and won the bronze medal and a financial prize of 400 thousand dirhams. “Zabeel 2” wins the “3×3” basketball championship

The “Zabeel 2” team won the men’s open category title in the basketball tournament (3×3), while the “Zabeel 1” team came in second place, and the Bullers team came third.

In the women’s open competition, the Fire Squad team took first place, followed by the Cinderella Stories team in second place, while the Steelers team came in third place. In the under-17 category, the Dubai Hoops Elite team took first place, the Wildcats team came in second place, and the Last Shot team came in third place.
