Ahmed Diab, President of the Professional Clubs Association, confirmed that the Association is committed to implementing the ruling of the International Sports Court “CAS” immediately upon its issuance regarding the crisis of the Egyptian League champion, explaining that if the court rules that “Al-Ahly” is entitled to… In the title, he will be recognized as an official champion, but if the ruling is the opposite, it will be applied after the end of all stages of litigation, so that the ruling becomes final and not subject to appeal.
This came during an intervention by the CEO of the Association with the journalist “Ahmed Schubert.” In the program “Al-Nazir with Schubert” On Al-Nahar channel, Schubert asked Diab a question about “the mechanism for selecting the man of the match,” wondering why the task was assigned to the analytical studio, which mostly includes analysts from the two poles of Egyptian football, Al-Ahly and Zamalek.
Diab responded, stressing that the association is studying developing evaluation mechanisms and ensuring complete impartiality in awarding prizes.
In another context, Diab revealed that "changing the name of the Egyptian League “Next season will be accompanied by broad changes in the tournament system,” especially with regard to sponsors and financial support, indicating that the title holder may receive “a greater financial reward befitting the value of the competition.” And the ambitions of clubs and fans.
