The Minister of Health is following up with the Governor of Beheira on the completion of health projects and the expansion of services

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Governor of Beheira, at the ministry’s headquarters in the new capital, to discuss the implementation rates of ongoing health projects and the expansion of health sector services in the governorate, in the presence of the leadership of the ministry and the governorate.
The minister stressed the importance of Beheira Governorate due to its population density of approximately 7 million people, stressing the need for full coordination between the concerned authorities to improve The health system and providing the best medical service to citizens.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting reviewed the capabilities of the health system in the governorate, the needs of medical facilities, and the optimal distribution of human resources according to the actual need. The minister also followed up on the completion rates of ongoing projects, directing that any obstacles be resolved immediately and adherence to timetables.
The meeting dealt with follow-up work in Badr, Hosh Issa, and Abu Homs Central Hospitals, and the development of Mabaret Kafr Al-Dawwar Hospital for Health Insurance. They also discussed the establishment of a pediatric oncology center in the village of Sinhour in Damanhour, and a center of excellence for natural births in Mahmoudiyah Hospital.
The meeting discussed accelerating raising the efficiency of health facilities and basic care units, strengthening safe natural birth programs, reducing unjustified cesarean sections, and developing a safe waste disposal system.
For her part, the Governor of Beheira expressed her thanks to the Minister, the ministry’s leaders, and the work teams in the directorate and hospitals, stressing her keenness to develop medical services in the governorate in light of the continuous support from the Ministry of Health for the system at the republic level.
