"National Ambulance" Provides integrated response during the Formula 1 Union Grand Prix

ABU DHABI, 2nd December, 2017 (WAM) – The National Ambulance has completed its operational readiness to support the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix – Abu Dhabi 2025, which is being hosted by Yas Marina Circuit during the period from 4 to 7 December, through specialized field medical teams working to provide integrated ambulance coverage and ensure the highest levels of safety for participants.

This participation, for the twelfth year in a row, comes within the National Ambulance’s continued commitment to strengthening the medical response system in major events, and raising the readiness of its staff and the efficiency of its operational capabilities in accordance with the highest international standards.

The National Ambulance medical team includes about 70 qualified personnel, including doctors, paramedics, emergency medicine technicians, operations and communication center teams, pharmacists and support staff.

The team’s readiness is based on a fleet of 14 ambulances and first responder vehicles, to provide integrated emergency coverage for Formula 1 racers, team members and organizers at the medical center and various track facilities throughout the race days.

The National Ambulance works in close coordination with its partners from the Emirates Motor Sports Organization (EMSO), Yas Marina Circuit, and Ethira, in addition to strategic partners, to ensure integrated medical coverage and a smooth and effective response during the event.

In addition to medical coverage during the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix – Abu Dhabi 2025, the National Ambulance provides emergency medical services at Yas Marina Circuit throughout the year, in support of a variety of events including sports, recreational activities, and community health and fitness initiatives, enhancing its role as a major partner in supporting major activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
