The Minister of Military Production inspects the pavilions of international companies participating in the exhibition "edex"

Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, received a delegation from the Russian Ross Apron Export Foundation.

This came at the ministry’s pavilion at the International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025”, as part of the activities of the second day of the exhibition.

 

Minister Mohamed Salah stressed, during the meeting, that the Ministry of Military Production has been considered a fundamental pillar of industrialization since its establishment. Military in Egypt, its primary mission is to meet the demands of the armed forces and police for various weapons, ammunition, equipment and advanced electronic systems, adding that the Ministry is keen to advance the wheel of production and development in Egypt by taking advantage of the surplus production capacities of its companies to manufacture high-quality civilian products at competitive prices, as well as participating in various national projects.

 

He pointed out that the Ministry’s work system is unique and includes (15) industrial companies and (4) companies specialized in other fields, including a company For information systems and another for construction, in addition to a maintenance company and a center for scientific and technological excellence, the ministry also has a training sector, a medical center, testing ranges for ammunition and weapons, and an academy for advanced engineering and technology. All of these entities include cadres at the highest level from military production personnel who spare no effort to keep the ministry a leader in military and civil industries in Egypt.

 

For their part, representatives of “Rosapron Export” explained: The Russian Foundation is implementing a number of joint projects in the Middle East for the joint production of armored vehicles, small arms, and anti-tank weapons, and that it is not only a reliable supplier of finished products but also a strategic partner in the field of technology transfer, expressing their company’s aspiration to open horizons for military cooperation with military production and the manufacture of new high-tech products with Egyptian hands.

 

They pointed out the keenness of the Foundation to participate in the “EDEX” exhibition. In each edition, due to the importance and weight it has within global armament and defense industries exhibitions, they praised the organization of “EDEX 2025”.

 

They also praised the Ministry of Military Production’s exhibits and the excellence and great development witnessed by its pavilion in this year’s edition. After that, the Minister of State for Military Production visited the pavilions of a number of companies participating in the exhibition, where he inspected the pavilions of the Chinese companies (NORINCO, ALIT, POLY TECHNOLOGY) and the Bulgarian company (TBS). During the visit to these pavilions, the Minister reviewed the Ministry’s most prominent military products (from small, medium and heavy ammunition, weapons, equipment, tanks and armored vehicles, and advanced electronic systems), which are manufactured according to the latest technologies, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Military Production. To enhance cooperation with international companies operating in various manufacturing fields and exchange experiences with them with the aim of localizing modern technologies in their companies.

 

The Minister of State for Military Production reviewed the presentations made by representatives of the companies whose wings were inspected about their activities and the products they manufacture, where representatives of “ALIT” explained: The Chinese company produces a variety of products, most notably advanced air defense systems, mobile missiles, and electronic warfare systems. As for Norinco, The Chinese company produces a variety of military products such as tanks, missile launchers, and other products, and “POLY TECHNOLOGY” specializes in In the field of advanced defense solutions for various military sectors, representatives of "TBS" The Bulgarian company pointed out that their company provides a set of the most innovative and advanced technological solutions in the world to ensure security on land, air and space.

 

The Minister of State for Military Production praised the advanced products and technologies he saw inside the pavilions of the companies he visited, stressing Egypt’s keenness to cooperate with international companies to exchange experiences and enhance manufacturing capabilities, and the Minister discussed with representatives of these companies topics and areas in which joint cooperation could be possible.

 

For their part, representatives of the companies whose pavilions were visited expressed their aspiration to open horizons for cooperation with military production companies due to their great manufacturing, technological, technical, human and research capabilities, which paves the way for achieving fruitful strategic cooperative partnerships, and they praised the organization of the International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025” Which reflects the progress achieved by the Egyptian defense industries.
