 The Public Prosecution, accompanied by a force of investigations, moved to inspect the swimming pools complex at the Cairo International Stadium Authority, where the Republic Swimming Championship for under the age of twelve was held, as part of the expanded investigations into the death of the player Youssef Mohamed, a swimmer at Al-Zohour Club, who passed away yesterday while participating in the tournament.

 

The inspection procedures included seizing the surveillance cameras in the swimming pools complex. Swimming, in preparation for examining its content and determining the circumstances and details of the accident.

In a context related to the investigations, the prosecution also moved to the headquarters of the Swimming Federation, where the executive director of the federation was summoned to question him about the incident, and to examine the documents related to organizing the tournament and the procedures followed to ensure the safety of the players.

Swimmer Youssef Mohamed died yesterday after being transferred to Dar Al Fouad Hospital next to the Cairo Stadium, after suffering a health emergency while participating in the Republic Championship competitions. For swimming.
