The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on members of Egyptian communities abroad to take into account the laws of the countries in which the community is located, with regard to publishing videos on social media requesting consular assistance or requests for help regarding problems facing members of the Egyptian community in those countries, and what these videos may include of exposure to foreign authorities or public and private institutions, which place the citizen under the law in many countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad requested – in a statement, today – Community members need to communicate directly with the Egyptian diplomatic mission in the country in which they reside in the event of requesting any consular assistance, whether by going directly to the diplomatic mission, or through the hotline (WhatsApp messages) that was announced in every diplomatic mission, and its data was published on the social media of each diplomatic mission, in addition to the central hotline (WhatsApp messages) for the consular sector of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Affairs Abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad confirmed its main role in caring for the interests of Egyptians abroad and providing them with all consular assistance as long as the relevant requests are received through the available official methods.
