Yesterday evening, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood lit up its building in orange, coinciding with the activities of the “16 Days of Activities to Combat Violence against Women and Girls” campaign, which is part of international and local efforts aimed at raising awareness of the seriousness of all forms of gender-based violence, and enhancing the protection and empowerment of girls, within the framework of the “Aware and Ghali” campaign. Which was launched by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood in cooperation with Seif Egypt, with the aim of raising awareness of protecting children from the dangers they may be exposed to. She added "Sunbati" The Council is implementing a wide range of awareness-raising activities and initiatives in support of children’s rights, most notably the protection of girls, by strengthening community awareness campaigns and providing legal and psychological support through the 16000 child helpline, as well as continuous coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure rapid intervention and protection. Which is being implemented under the patronage of Mrs. Intisar El-Sisi, wife of the President of the Republic.
The President of the Council explained that the campaign represents an important opportunity to enhance community awareness, and send direct messages to families to protect girls from all forms of violence, and enable them to fully enjoy their rights without any discrimination.
Al-Sunbati concluded: Her statement stressing that protecting girls is a shared societal responsibility, requiring the solidarity of all parties and institutions to ensure a safe and just future for Egypt’s children and girls.
