"The principal with Schubert" Reveals the behind-the-scenes of the Pharaohs’ preparation for the World Cup
The movements of the technical staff of the Egyptian national team and the Football Association are accelerating to develop a strong preparation program before participating in the 2026 World Cup finals, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, amid a clear desire to engage in a series of confrontations of a global nature to ensure the Pharaohs’ readiness for the competition.
Khaled Al-Dirandali, Vice President of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed in an intervention on Al-Nazer program with Schubert on Al-Nahar channel reported behind the scenes of the ongoing communications to arrange friendly matches, noting that the US national team officially requested to face Egypt at the end of next May as part of its preparations for the tournament.
Al-Dirndali confirmed that the presence of the Secretary-General of the American Football Association with him during one of the events facilitated the initial agreement, considering this request an acknowledgment of the value of the Egyptian team and its continental status.
Al-Dirndli explained that the Football Association is considering establishing a closed camp in the United States. At least ten days before the start of the tournament, with the aim of adapting to time differences and climatic conditions, while arranging another strong friendly confrontation during the camp period.
In the same context, Ibrahim Hassan, the team manager, revealed previous contacts that took place before the draw with the Iranian national team to play a friendly match, before coincidence intervened by putting the two teams in one group, which led to the idea being immediately cancelled.
He pointed out that the technical staff also communicated with several international teams, led by Germany and Spain, stressing that He spoke personally with Luis de la Fuente, the coach of the Spanish national team, about a possible friendly match.
This movement reflects a real desire to equip the Pharaohs in the best possible way, especially as the national team enters a new phase of international competition that requires direct contact with various football schools that are heavyweights in the global scene.
