The Ministry of Tourism denies rumors about raising entry visa fees to the country from $25 to $45

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities denied news circulated by some newspapers and websites over the past hours claiming that Egypt had raised entry visa fees to the country from $25 to $45, as part of legislative amendments to Law No. 175 of 2025 relating to imposing a fee for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ buildings.
The Ministry confirmed – in a statement today, Monday – that these reports are completely baseless, and that no decisions have been taken. Executive Committee regarding increasing entry visa fees to Egypt, and that the decisions that have been taken at the present time are only to determine the maximum limit for visa fees and not to implement the increase.
She stressed that what is being circulated are just rumors, stressing that any information related to entry visas or other things is announced, as is usual, through official statements issued by the relevant executive authorities in the country.
The Ministry called on all media outlets and social media users to investigate Accuracy and communication with official authorities before publishing any information in this regard.
