المملكة: Before the rain… Maintaining pumps and securing streets from water accumulation in Abqaiq


Finished Abqaiq Governorate Municipality its proactive preparations for The rainy seasonby activating an integrated emergency plan that relies on the mobilization of 160 human cadres and 26 specialized mechanisms, to ensure an immediate response to any water bodies and to protect public and private property in the governorate.

The municipality’s technical teams completed the maintenance of Drainage networks carefully, as the work included cleaning the channels and removing dust and obstacles to ensure the smooth flow of water without any sudden blockages that might confuse the movement.

High efficiency

The municipality has equipped the pumps of the drainage stations and modern suction equipment to work with maximum efficiency, as part of a preventive strategy aimed at controlling emergency situations before they escalate in residential neighborhoods or main roads.

Engineer Muhammad confirmed Al-Dhafiri, Mayor of the Municipality, said that the operational plan for the current season depends on a qualified field emergency team working 24 hours a day, equipped with all the powers to deal directly as soon as reports are received.

Intensive Plan

The plan focused intensively on the remedial aspect of the infrastructure, as the specialized teams began treating potholes and cracks in more than 20 critical sites that were monitored based on data from previous seasons.

The municipality called on all citizens and residents. To activate their community role by immediately reporting any water accumulations or field observations by calling the Unified Emergency Center 940 to ensure immediate treatment.
